This book is for the young adult reader out there and it is a fictional book.

This book is about a boy named Thomas, when he enters the "maze" with a group of more then forty boys that have been there for over 2 years. He has to choose to escape or die there.

This is book has a great plot in my eyes. When he introduced the main character, he did great showing how he acts, and what his personality is. The subject of this book is how to escape something that people say is inescapable. The characters show great courage and faith to accomplish this task. This book also shows that getting what you want is not as easy as pressing a button and it will happen. You have to go face your fears and get dirty and do things that you have not done before.

The purpose of this book in my eyes was to show how easy something that looks impossible can be. This book makes a contribution to the field of self confidence because it shows that if you have any faith at all anything is possible. I like this authors style because it has the right amount of suspense and when the suspense was high it was resolved quickly.
